Sicon Manufacturing is aimed at businesses wanting to monitor, control and simplify their systems, by providing a single view of their data. Appealing to a wide range of organisations, this solution caters for discrete, continuous, bespoke and hybrid production processes.

Working seamlessly with other Sicon solutions, including Shop Floor Data Capture and Barcoding & Warehousing, this provides a complete solution for the needs of fast moving, agile manufacturing organisations. For example, enabling production staff to remotely clock on/off works order operations, record inspection results and issue allocated components.

Available as a suite, Sicon Manufacturing includes Projects, Kitting, Material & Resource Planning (MRP) and Works Order Processing (WOP).  Alternatively these modules can be purchased individually, making this a truly flexible solution for your business.

Sicon Projects for Manufacturing

Integrates perfectly into bespoke manufacturing environments to capture Stock, Purchase Orders, Timesheets and other costs to give budget versus actual comparison.

Kitting

A simple, single level bill of materials module that can be amended prior to building the finished product either for Stock or directly within the Sage 200 Sales Order.

Material & Resource Planning (MRP)

When used in conjunction with Sicon WOP, this module provides a simple MRP solution creating suggested Works Orders and Purchase Orders to fulfil demand. Included Rough Cut Capacity Planning delivers a real time graphical user interface for labour and machine demand against availability.

Works Order Processing (WOP)

Sicon WOP captures production data from a variety of sources, including stock, labour, machine and subcontractors, giving visibility of overall finished product costs and updating stock levels. Whilst WOP can work independently of Sage 200 BOM, when combined, this provides enhanced functionality to create Works Orders.

Functionality  can be extended with the addition of Sicon Shop Floor Data Capture and/or Sicon Barcoding & Warehousing.

Shop Floor Data Capture (SFDC)

An Android based app that links to both the Sicon WOP and Sicon Projects to allow real-time capture of operation progress and elapsed times.  The addition of this module allows users to issue allocated stock and record inspection results.

Barcoding & Warehousing

An Android based app that allows manufacturing businesses to interact more efficiently with Sage 200.  Examples include, receiving and putting away stock, picking and issuing stock to a Works Order and despatching Sales Orders.

Kitting

  • Barcoding & Warehousing | Allows for the build of a kit, but also the component picking, for kitted items in a Sales Order, resulting in a build on despatch.
  • Courier Integration | Allows for the selected courier label to be produced and the instruction to collect to be communicated at the point of despatch.
  • Distribution – Preallocations | Pre-allocations are automatically set to fulfil kit demand, both at component at finished item level.
  • Material & Resource Planning | When combined with Sicon MRP, this extends functionality to offer suggestions for kit and component demand

Material & Resource Planning

  • Enhancement Pack | Allows users to automate the price in relation to the supplier quantity break within Sicon EP.
  • Distribution – Container Management | Stock Item weights and dimensions are used to calculate whether selected Suggested Purchase Orders exceed a containers Max Volume and Payload.
  • Distribution – POP | Allows users to automate the price in relation to the supplier quantity break within Sicon POP Management.
  • Distribution – Warehouse Replenishment | Provides recommendations for stock shortage transfers.
  • Distribution – Reserves & Call Offs | Provides functionality so if a Reserve has been created but no Free Stock is available for allocation, a Purchase Order Suggestion will be created.  The reserved stock allocation is considered in Material Planning calculations.
  • Distribution – Future Sales | Both minimum stock calculations and therefore new levels, and forecasts produced via future sales are presented as demand in Material Planning calculations.
  • Distribution – Preallocations | Recommendations produced by Material Planning are connected via a pre-allocation, which can then be edited and managed via pre-allocations screens.
  • Projects | Stock on operations are included in the Future Stock Movements screensbe considered in Material Planning calculations.
  • Kitting | When combined with Sicon Kitting, this extends functionality to offer suggestions for kit and component demand.
  • Works Order Processing | When combined with Sicon WOP, this extends functionality to offer suggestions for works order and component demand.
  • Approvals – Purchase Requistion | Recomendations from Material Planning can be created as Sicon Approvals Requisitions requiring approval before the Purchase Order is created.
  • Approvals – Holidays | Approved holidays will affect employee availability when looking at overall availability within Capacity Planning.
  • Approvals – Timesheets | If a user records holiday or sickness, this will affect employee availability when looking at overall availability within Capacity Planning.

Works Order Processing

  • Documents | Documents can be added or viewed when amending a works order.
  • Barcoding & Warehousing | Provides functionality for picking, issuing and booking, as well as back flushing of Works Orders on the handheld.
  • Distribution – Preallocations | Pre-allocations are automatically set to fulfil works order demand, both at component at finished item level.
  • Distribution – Reserves & Call Offs | Where Sicon WOP is also installed, a Suggested Works Order will be created.
  • Projects | Integrates perfectly into bespoke manufacturing environments to capture Stock, Purchase Orders, Timesheets and other costs to give budget versus actual comparison.  Alternatively, when combined with Sicon Works Order Processing, this is an ideal solution for businesses wanting to manufacture and install for projects.
