IMPORTANT NOTICE REGARDING ANNUAL SALP OR SAGE COVER

Sicon have received a news alert from Sage which effects all Sage Line 100 \ Sage MMS \ Sage 200 Customers

As a result of this at renewal of your Sage Cover \ Sage SALP there will be as below explains a 3.5% increase on your Annual Charges

Dear Business Partner,

As you are aware the Agreements :

Sage Annual Licence Plan (SALP) , Sage Cover & together with our T & C's allows us to apply annual price increases, to ensure that we maintain and improve our products and our support services to you and your customers.

However, we aim to keep these price increases to a minimum and to set them in line with the level of inflation to ensure continuing value for money.

We would like to inform you that this nominal price increase will apply to all SALP and SageCover renewals that are due from 1 September 2008 on the following products:

  • Line 100
  • Sage MMS
  • Sage 200

This year the price increase is set at 3.5% and it will be added to SALP and SageCover renewals that are due from 1 September 2008 (corresponding to invoices shipped from 1 July 2008).

IMPORTANT NOTICE REGARDING ANNUAL SALP OR SAGE COVER

Sicon Invoices customers 60 days prior to renewal so any reduction in users, cancellation of Sage cover / SALP (where applicable) can be notified / discussed.

Sage have brought out strict rulings that any change cancellations or reductions made within 30 days of renewal will not be accepted, and potentially not credited.

We have had two incidents where we invoiced a customer 60 days prior to renewal, they did not notify us of a change request until after the renewal date, we forwarded the request to Sage and the request was rejected.

Therefore each SALP/Sage cover invoice that goes out will have a reminder on it advising the customer that they MUST contact Sicon immediately if they have any changes. The customers request will be forwarded to Sage, and as long as it is prior to the renewal date Sage will action and credit accordingly.

For example, Sicon Sends an invoice out dated 1st November for the annual renewal period 1st January
As long as Sicon notifies Sage of customer change requests prior to 30th November, changes will be actioned
Change requests can be made in the first instance by calling 0845 1300188 and asking to speak with Jane Youngman, in all instances requests will need to be followed up either by fax or by email to contracts@sicon.co.uk

Also please note that if you upgrade in the period from your invoice date and the renewal date sage you will receive a pro rate invoice to cover the SALP for either the additional users or change in system.
