Senior Software Developer

About the role
We are seeking an experienced Senior React Software Developer to lead the design, development, and optimization of robust software systems. In this role, you will drive technical decisions, mentor junior engineers, and ensure the delivery of high-quality, scalable, and maintainable solutions that align with business goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the design, architecture, and implementation of complex software applications and systems.
- Write, review, and optimize high-quality, maintainable, and efficient code.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Product Owners and QA to define requirements and deliver solutions.
- Guide and mentor mid-level developers, fostering a culture of learning and excellence.
- Participate in and lead code reviews, ensuring adherence to best practices and coding standards.

- Hands-on experience with modern frameworks and libraries (e.g. MUI, .NET Core, Node.js, React, Syncfusion).
- Strong understanding of software architecture, design patterns, and system design principles.
- Solid experience with relational and SQL databases.
- Familiarity with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
- Excellent debugging, optimization, and problem-solving skills.
- Exposure to security best practices in software development.
- Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies.

Role Overview:
As a Professional Services Consultant at Sicon, you will be responsible for the successful implementation of Sicon modules for our customers. You will work closely with customers to understand their requirements, configure solutions to meet their needs, and guide them through the full implementation lifecycle. This is a hands-on, customer-facing role that plays a key part in ensuring customer satisfaction and long-term success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement and configure Sicon modules for customers based on agreed requirements
- Work closely with customers to understand their business processes and objectives
- Deliver end-to-end implementation projects, from kick-off through go-live
- Perform system setup, testing, and validation
- Deliver user training, documentation, and knowledge transfer
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure high-quality project delivery
- Provide troubleshooting and post-implementation support as required
Required Skills & Experience
- Experience in implementation of software packages, software consultancy role or ERP processing. Alternatively, an end user of Sage 200 or similar ERP system who would like to move into a consultancy based role
- Strong understanding of business processes and software implementations
- Comfortable working in a customer-facing environment
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities
- Prior Knowledge of Sicon Modules or Sage 200 Financials, Commercials, Manufacturing (or similar ERP systems) would be a strong advantage
