How do I upgrade?

Under the licence agreement there is no charge for the software, so as such you/your customer are entitled to the new version of any Sicon module free of charge.  There will be an element of consultancy required if configuration and/or training on any new modules is required and this will be charged at the Business Partners standard rate and quoted on a case by case basis dependent on your customers migration needs, i.e  number of Sage 200 Companies they have or whether they want to migrate to live, or to test prior to live.

Sicon Business Partners: If you are a Business Partner, please login to the BP Portal and the new release version will be available to download on the Product Downloads page.

Sicon Product User: If you currently use this Sicon module, please contact your Business Partner Account Manager and they will be able to provide you with further details on how to arrange an upgrade.

Sicon Software Version Control

At Sicon we take the development of our products very seriously. With many hundreds of organisations and many thousands of users relying on them on a daily basis, it is essential that they are up to the job.

We currently work to a 6 month development cycle, with full product releases taking place twice a year.  During the development cycle (between official release versions), there will be pre-release versions available to Business Partners and clients who wish to use new features as they are added. These versions will not have documentation added to the web site help and user guides for the new features and will not go through the full testing process until the end of the development cycle, but will be suitable for demonstration & testing purposes. They will include selected Wish List items and project specific functionality.

We will install these versions onto live systems where the new features are needed but clients should be aware that there is a small risk associated with using a pre-release version. The risk is small or we would not allow it, but where the benefit outweighs the risk we are happy to work with clients to deliver improvements to the products early (if Customers do not wish to have a pre-release version, they will need to wait for the release version to become available). This version will not be available for Business Partners to download, but will be available where we are working on joint projects and developing specific functionality.
