10636 – Works Order Comments not saving when added before WO creation

Detailed Description

When manually creating a works order, if comments are added to the top of a works order before pressing create, the comment is not saved at the point of closing the works order.

Once Create is pressed, the comment is still visible on the works order screen, but this has not been saved in the database (the [WOComments] field on the [SiWorksOrder] table), and therefore once the Works Order screen is closed and Re-opened, the comment has gone.

Impact: Low

• Urgency | Ability to work not affected; sufficient workaround available.
• Impact | All users affected.

Workaround

Add the comment to the Works Order after the create button has been pressed and this will commit the comment to the database, and therefore save throughout the works order.
