11076 – Saving a Sales Order with Kit preallocates to a kit with cross cut messaging enabled
Version Reported In
Sicon Manufacturing v221.0.72
Detailed Description
With the setting to “enable cross cut message service for kit creation for sales order from third party integration”, creating a new Sales Order Line with a Kit item, and then saving the Sales Order in Sage will automatically preallocate a kit to the Sales Order line.
It is Sicon’s expectation that the majority of sites using this setting are only creating sales orders through third party APIs and this is the intended functionality in that situation. If users only create sales orders in Sage, then this setting should be disabled. However, for sites creating sales order lines with kits in both Sage and using a third party API, this setting should not apply when saving the sales order in Sage. This is the known issue.
Impact: Low
- Urgency | Ability to work not affected; sufficient workaround available.
- Impact | Single user affected.
Workaround
In the situation where the kit is not required, simply delete the preallocated kit from the Amend Kits screen.
