11591 – Auto allocate across multiple bins doesn’t automatically select traceable numbers

Detailed Description

This is a specific scenario that occurs with Sicon Works Order Processing legacy stock Allocation settings and traceable component items on a Works Order.

With Stock control configured to record traceable numbers when allocating stock;

And the Sicon legacy setting to Auto allocate across multiple bins:

The user will be prompted to confirm the traceable item to allocate.

Impact: Low

• Urgency | Ability to work not affected; inconvenient.
• Impact | Single user affected.

Workaround

The user can manually choose the traceable item to use.

Alternatively, it is recommended to change the settings to “Use Sage Stock fulfilment settings” which will use the standard Sage allocation logic to automatically allocate the traceable stock.
