16727 – Adding Subcontracts to an existing purchase order inconsistent depending on subcontract setting

Version Reported In

Sicon Manufacturing v221.0.91

Detailed Description

With “Show finished item info on purchase order” enabled within Works Order Sub Contract settings, a purchase order generated from the works order will use the finished item as the first part of a purchase order’s free text description (this can be manually overwritten).

With the setting disabled, the finished item still shows, but as the last item.

However, when using the subcontract menu and adding a works order subcontract to an existing purchase order, the subcontract setting to use the finished item is ignored (again, this can be manually overwritten).

Impact: Low

  • Urgency | Ability to work unaffected; workaround available.
  • Impact | All users affected, but only if using the feature as described above.

Workaround

Manually add the finished item code to the description before adding the line to the existing purchase order.

Alternatively, as above, disable the setting and then the finished item description will be pulled through by default at the end of the description and can again be edited as required to suit the format of the business.
