Sicon Known Issues

17196 – Incorrect Works Order Selected for Printing within Process Works Orders screen.

Version Reported In

Sicon Manufacturing v221.0.200

Detailed Description

When works orders are created as part of a subassembly, they appear on the Process Works Orders screen in a tree structure that reflects the preallocation hierarchy.  This tree structure helps users understand the relationship between parent and child works orders.

If users manually allocate stock through the Process Works Orders menu, they can override these preallocations, and this is when this specific issue occurs.

In that case, if the user attempts to print a report for the lowest-level child works order, the system changes the selection to a different line. Depending on the report and dataset, the system may print either the intended works order or the incorrectly reselected one.

17196 - WO Printing Report - 2

This is a niche scenario occurring only when printing reports from within process works order screen.

Impact: Low

  • Urgency | Ability to work not affected; workaround available.
  • Impact | Single users affected.

Workaround

If the menu is reloaded after this action, the tree structure would disappear because it is based on preallocations, and this problem would not occur.  Therefore re-click Search or close and reopen the Process Works Orders menu before printing from this screen to avoid this issue occurring.
