4016 – Error pasting large number of characters into Summary field on tasks

Detailed Description

Within Sicon CRM, if you try to right click and paste more than 255 characters of text inside of the Summary field within a task, this will through an error message. To prevent you from running into this issue, you need to:

1. Log into Sage 200
2. Go to Sicon CRM > Tasks > New Task

3.  Once selected, a new Pop-up will show. Inside the Summary box, if you right click the box, it will show some additional functions. Select the Paste option.

4. You will then see the error below:

Impact: Low

• Urgency | Ability to work not affected; sufficient workaround available.
• Impact | All Users Affected.

Workaround

To get around this error message, you can either close the error message or use CTRL + V and this will automatically reduce the character input.
