If a Support Case is raised for a query with any Sicon product installed on a customer site, in order to fully investigate the case, we may require access to a Customers data.
Our preferred options at all times would be to investigate Customer data remotely to a test server which is kept up to date with copies of Live Sage companies. If the Customer does have a Company test server available, we would connect in and investigate either with the Customer on the session or with the Customers permission, we would be able to do this session unattended. With this option we would be working with the Customers IT company and/or Sage Partner.
If the Customer does not have a Company test server, we will kindly ask the Customers IT company/Sage Partner to upload a copy of the Customers Sage 200 data to a secure FTP site and Sicon will then download the data into our test environment. As part of our GDPR policy we commit to deleting that data from the Sicon system once we have concluded our data investigation or after 7 days thereafter.
In either case, we kindly ask all Customers to select the ‘opt-in’ option on the online Sicon Data Request Consent Form to ensure that Sicon has Customers full approval to access their data for Support purposes. We will keep this form on file for future investigation purposes should you agree for us to do so.
