The WAP Mobile App is available for iOS and Android users and can provide a quick and easy way to enter or approve documents and reduce the risk of receipts or goods received documents being lost. Once synced, documents will post through to WAP and if applicable, Sage. Configuration must be done in the WAP Web App prior to the mobile app being used.
1.1. WAP Enable Module
For the WAP Mobile App to be used, WAP needs have been installed and a valid licence string entered within the WAP Web App system settings:
The WAP Mobile App is compatible with Requisitions, Invoices, Expenses, Holidays and Timesheets.
1.2. Mobile Service Endpoint Address
**This will need to be created by the relevant IT contact**
The Mobile app needs a URL to connect to which will need to be configured prior to configuring and installing the app. E.g. http://[Web address Domain]:[Port Number]/WAPService.
The domain server and URL for WAP Web Application should already have been set up as part of the WAP install. A new port also needs to be created and made available for the WAP Mobile app. 61000 is the recommended port for the WAP app (unless known it is being used for something else; it must be different to the default website which is usually port 80 or 443 if using SSL).
1.3. Https Certificate Thumbprint
**If relevant, this will need to be created by the relevant IT contact**
Required for users that require a secure connection. A SSL certificate will need to be bound to the port and the unique identifier entered at the WAP Web App Configuration stage. If users are to be accessing the WAP Mobile app outside of the office location, it is recommended to obtain a SSL certificate and to configure https access.
2. WAP Web App Configuration
Within the main WAP System Settings there are configuration options relating to the WAP Mobile App (System Settings cogs – System Setup banner – System Settings – Misc tab – Mobile Access banner):
